Course Readings
The program engages in readings centering on equity, change leadership and deeper learning. Below is a sample of some of readings we assign per month:
Each month we put together a list readings centered around the themes of our program: Equity, Change Leadership and Deeper Learning. While listed separately the themes coexist and often seamlessly interact within schools. I encourage to read all of them; however I only ask that you read and respond to at least one of the readings. The readings represents works from scholarly journals, excerpts from books and texts related to craft knowledge. The ebbs and flows of school events vary by school location and event --one month you might read everything, another you may only get to one--please know that is ok. How far you care to dig each month is up to you. I vary the length, complexity and tone of text in the hopes that each of you will find a reading that connects to you, your practice and school setting. I also provide a one sentence (twitter-like) summary of the text to help you pick and choose.
Responses to one or more readings are due by 20th of November with the intent that you will respond to one or more other participants by the end of the month!
Thanks for your first entries! They are awesome and the support you are offering one another is inspiring!
